ECIDA COVID-19 Disaster Relief PPE Cost-Reimbursement Grant Program

The Erie County Industrial Development Agency (ECIDA) is pleased to announce the COVID-19 Disaster Relief PPE Cost Reimbursement Grant Program. Small businesses and not-for-profit corporations that are Minority Owned Business (MBE), Women-Owned Business (WBE) or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) certified, or located in Highly Distressed Areas (defined by the U.S. Census) may be eligible for up to $10,000 in reimbursement for the costs of acquiring personal protective equipment or installing fixtures necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

*** Small Businesses and Not-for-Profit Corporations located in communities served by their own municipal IDAs (Amherst, Clarence, Concord, Hamburg, and Lancaster) are not eligible to participate within the Erie County IDA COVID-19 Disaster Emergency Grant Program ***

Minimum Program Requirements: Please review the program requirements and guidelines below prior to completing an application for funding.


Eligible Applicants:


• Small Businesses (not more than 50 employees) located within a Highly Distressed Area
within Erie County, New York


• Small not-for-profit corporations (formed pursuant to the not-for-profit corporation law
with not more than 50 employees) located within a Highly Distressed Area within Erie
County, New York


• Certified Minority, Women Owned, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses
(not more than 50 employees) located in Erie County, New York


• Applicant must confirm that it conducts business within Erie County


• Applicant must demonstrate that it was a financially viable entity prior to the state
disaster emergency declaration (March 7, 2020).


• Applicant must attest that it has been negatively affected by the state disaster emergency.


• Applicant was operational [no less than one year] prior to the state disaster emergency
declaration (March 7, 2020).

 

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until New York State Executive Order No. 202 is rescinded or available funds have been expended. We strongly recommend that you review the Grant Guidelines and FAQs prior to completing the application as these documents contain detailed information critical to assessing your eligibility and developing a successful grant proposal.
