ECIDA COVID-19 Disaster Emergency Grant Program

        The Erie County Industrial Development Agency (ECIDA) is pleased to announce the COVID-19 Disaster Relief PPE Cost Reimbursement Grant Program. Small businesses and not-for-profit corporations that are located in Highly Distressed Areas (defined by the U.S. Census), or that are Minority Owned, Women-Owned or Veteran Owned, may be eligible for up to $10,000 in reimbursement for the costs of acquiring personal protective equipment or installing fixtures necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

 *** Small Businesses and Not-for-Profit Corporations located in communities served by their own municipal IDAs (Amherst, Clarence, Concord, Hamburg, and Lancaster) are not eligible to participate within the Erie County IDA COVID-19 Disaster Emergency Grant Program.

Eligibility: Small businesses and nonprofits in Erie County


• Small Businesses (not more than 50 employees) located within a Highly Distressed Area in Erie County, New York


• Small nonprofits (not more than 50 employees) formed pursuant to the not-for-profit corporation law, located within a Highly Distressed Area in Erie County, New York


• Minority, Women Owned, and Veteran-Owned Businesses or nonprofits
(not more than 50 employees) located in Erie County, New York

Documentation:


• Business must be located in Erie County.


• Applicant must demonstrate that it was a financially viable entity prior to the state
disaster emergency declaration (March 7, 2020).


• Applicant must document that it has been negatively affected by the state disaster emergency.


• Applicant must document being operational since prior to March 7, 2020.
